October is officially here, which means Halloween is only weeks away! Does anyone else get inordinately excited about Halloween? My kids start begging me to bring down our skeletons and pumpkins in August. I can usually hold them off until mid-September, but then even I start to get excited about breaking out all of our scary décor!
I was especially thrilled this year because I had the opportunity to partner with Balsam Hill for their Enchanted Halloween! They unveiled some amazing décor to dress up your home for this spooky-fun holiday. I thought I’d share a few of my favorites from their new collection…all guaranteed to put a smile on the faces of ghosts and goblins of all ages!
I’m always on the hunt for festive outdoor décor for my front porch and this Outdoor Fiber Optic Friendly Ghost charmed me from the start. I mean, could he be any cuter? Plug him in and he starts sparkling, which is a perfectly whimsical way to welcome guests as they walk up to your front door! To complete the frighteningly friendly mood, I added these Solar-Powered Halloween Pathway Lights to either side of my porch. They soak up the sun during day and then glow all night!
I have so much fun turning the inside of my home into a haunted house – little touches here and there that help to celebrate Halloween all month long! Our fireplace is the focal point of our first floor and I was looking for some new ways to jazz it up for the season. This Halloween Night Foliage Mantel Swag is both elegant and eerie. The black and gray florals are off-set by crackling twigs and orange, pre-wired lights that run on a battery pack, making this an easy choice for displaying anywhere!
These Halloween Crow Taper Candle Holders are standing watch on my mantel and I catch my kids eyeing them up as if they’ll fly away at any second! They come in a set of 4 in varying poses and they have the most realistic feathered detailing, all topped off with a sprinkling of black glitter. They’re perfect for tucking onto shelves, on top of cabinets or anywhere you want a touch of the terrifying! I chose to display them without candles, but they’d look amazing holding taper candles and lining the center of a spooky Halloween table.
Who else loves to think outside the box when it comes to using décor in new ways? I definitely fall into that category! These Halloween Luminaries immediately caught my eye as a way to add some whimsy and a twist of the unexpected to my staircase. I lined them up with some pumpkins and gourds on the first few steps and they light the way for anyone heading upstairs. These come in a set of 4 and can be used indoors or out. Using multiple sets to line your sidewalk would be a great way to guide trick-or-treaters to your door.
